Why Use a Fancy Text Generator?

  • Works on every platform without custom fonts. These are Unicode characters, not images or custom fonts. They display correctly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and in every app that supports Unicode — which is essentially everything built after 2010.
  • Stand out in social media bios and usernames.Instagram and TikTok bios are plain text — standard fonts aren't customizable. Unicode styles are the only way to make your bio look different from everyone else's. Script and bold styles are especially popular for personal brand bios.
  • Add visual emphasis in plain text contexts.Tweets, Discord messages, and SMS don't support bold or italic markup. Mathematical bold Unicode characters are the only way to create visual emphasis in these contexts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some styles show boxes (□) on some devices?

Unicode mathematical characters are in the Supplementary Multilingual Plane (SMP) and require fonts with SMP support. Most modern devices (iOS 10+, Android 7+, Windows 10, macOS 10.12+) include these characters. Older devices or systems with limited Unicode font coverage may show boxes. If you see boxes, try a different style — symbols like Circled and Squared use a different part of Unicode that has broader support.

Can I use these in Instagram bios?

Yes. Instagram supports Unicode characters in bios, usernames, captions, and comments. Script and bold styles are the most popular for bios. Paste the copied text directly into the Instagram bio field on mobile or desktop.

Do these work for TikTok usernames?

Yes, with a caveat. TikTok usernames are limited to 24 characters. Unicode mathematical characters are still single characters in terms of count, so you have the same 24-character budget. Many Unicode characters that look fancy in usernames count as 1–2 characters each.

Will screen readers announce these correctly?

No. Screen readers typically announce Unicode mathematical characters by their full Unicode name (e.g., "mathematical bold capital A") rather than just "A". This makes fancy text inaccessible for visually impaired users. Use it for decorative purposes only, not for essential information.
